Are we really doing this Gothia Cup thing? Sweden awaits. Follow our journey!
Oh my, the blog lives on. It's like a hibernating bear except it is not a bear and it doesn't wake up each spring. So I guess it is not like a hibernating bear.
In any event, the travel blog has been revived and is ready to roll for this crazy, out-of-nowhere trip to Sweden for Alyssa to participate in the Gothia Cup!!
Gothia Cup? Hergy schmergen?
Check it out the GOTHIA CUP HOME PAGE!
And here is the page for Alyssa's team Davis Alliance (she has joined the Alliance for this tournament only). Here you can follow the team's progress and even find a game that is being broadcast on the Gothia Cup page
We leave July 9 flying San Jose, CA to Atlanta to Amsterdam to London.
We'll have a night in London and then hop the train to Brussels for a few days.
While in Brussels we intend to see the medieval town of Bruges and possibly a day trek to Germany.
From Brussels we fly to Copenhagen Denmark and hop on a train to Gothenburg, Sweden.
Here is our route:
Gothenburg is where Gothia Cup is centered and will be our home from July15-25.
The tournament is a full week and we'll play somewhere from 5-8 games during this time depending on how the girls do.
This will be an amazing experience for Alyssa and for me.
I'll be blogging as much as I can, and Alyssa will be too!
Be sure to check out Alyssa's Blog and follow along with both of us!
