Made it to the London... cluster eff

After a very cozy (not) red eye in which none of us could pretzel ourselves into a cozy sleeping position, we've made it to London.
Here we've experienced how much you can eff up moving through an airport.
Needless to say we arrived 90 minutes ago and just now made it to our gate.

Here are the lowlights:
Get off plane
Walk down 6 miles of hallways including up and back down flights of stairs
Get on a very crowded and hot bus
Drive for 10 minutes
Walk thru 2 miles of hallways
End up at security where no less than 7 people offered you a zip lock bag to put liquids in
None of those 7 people provided any other useful info
Arrive at security (I've never gone thru security after I arrived at an airport) and proceed to have to unpack half of our carry-ons because apparently x-rays are weak in the UK
Repack
Walk 2 miles thru a concourse looking for our departure gate for the flight to Geneva
Signs tell us to check back 1 hour after the flight left.
Eventually we find a departure board that tells us Gate B10.  Which is back downstairs
Go downstairs
Sign gives you options for B10a B10b B10c B10d B10e... uhhh
We figure out we're b10e
Our boarding group is called 5 minutes later.
We board a bus.
The bus takes us pretty much where we got on the first bus
We drive to our plane
20 minutes later we depart.

If I can help it, I will never fly into Heathrow again.

Here's Harry Potter store next to the sign yelling us to check our departure gate an hour after our flight left

90 minutes later we arrived in Geneva.
Then the jet way broke so we had to wait at least 30 minutes to get off the plane.
This meant all dinner options were closed at the airport.
We're exhausted and hungry and frazzled  but we're in our hotel rooms and winding down.  But we are all excited for our trip to begin.
But first.... sleeping in tomorrow!
Geneva awaits
